Fitted Carpets & Upholstery
We use a hot water extraction system, also known as professional steam cleaning or deep steam cleaning. Equipment sprays heated water and detergent deep into the carpet or upholstery while suction nozzles vacuum the water back up along with the dirt that has been dislodged or dissolved. The waste water is then discarded. Hot water extraction is widely recommended by most carpet and upholstery manufacturers as the most efficient method to clean and remove stains from most types of carpets and upholstery.
No. The specially designed detergents we use do not leave a residue on carpets or furniture. They are all eco-friendly and safe for babies, pets and allergy sufferers.
An average cleaning of carpets in three rooms, or of a lounge suite, usually takes approximately two hours. It can take longer depending on the state of the carpets or furniture and the space we are working in. For large areas of office carpet, the time depends on the square metreage and the condition of the carpets.
Even though our system uses water, most of it is extracted. Carpets and furniture will be dry within 24 hours provided there is enough ventilation in the room. Drying is a lot quicker on hot days, and if we are able to leave furniture in the sun to dry.
Our staff are trained to move furniture while cleaning and to replace it afterwards. We may recommend keeping some smaller items off the carpet for 24 hours until it is completely dry. For office carpets we can work around desks, so there is no need to unplug computers, monitors or printers. We ask that you remove any breakables from the rooms before we arrive.
We only need access to electricity and water — preferably hot water. We bring generators for load shedding.
